Terms and Conditions

Confidentiality

All sessions will be conducted in strictest confidence and this will be maintained and applied to all records. Your sessions are kept confidential. Exceptions to this would be when I consider there is a serious risk of harm to self or others, in these circumstances we would discuss these concerns together.

If you tell me about any involvement in certain illegal activity, I am duty bound to report this to the appropriate authority, and will not inform you first.

Cancellations

Sessions that are cancelled within 48 hours of the session are charged at the full session fee, there is no fee for cancellation before 48 hours.

Payment

Each session has a set cost and it is expected that payment is made either via bank transfer or as a cash payment prior to the start of each session. In the event that payment is not received, this will be discussed. Individual payment plans may be negotiated on an individual basis. In the event that payment is not made, this could result in the ending of sessions.

Substance use

I am unable to work with you whilst you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Should you arrive to your session under the influence of substances the session will be cancelled and full payment charged.

Complaints

I am a member of the BACP and if you have concerns about my practice which you feel unable to resolve with me directly, you can make a complaint, if required here.

Data Privacy Statement

I hold the following data safely and securely on my own password protected system which requires two factor authentication to access.

Your name and date of birth
Contact information (address, phone, email)
Medical information (illness, medication, GP name)
Next of Kin

I hold this data and basic notes from our session on my secure system for one year following your final session, after this it is disposed. You can access your information by making a subject access request in writing to me.

I work in accordance with the Office of the Data Protection Authourity (ODPA) and I take my responsbility to hold you data securely and safely with the highest level of seriousness.
